Dear RPI Alumni,
The Special Meeting of the Rensselaer Alumni Association (RAA)—at which important topics such as the RAA Board’s failure to represent the interests of all RPI alumni and challenging the results of the incredibly controversial “election” of RAA Trustees will be addressed—is less than one week away.
As we mentioned in our recent email, the Special Meeting will be held this coming Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 12:00 pm EST in the Heffner Alumni House, 1301 Peoples Avenue, Troy, NY 12180. If you are able to attend in person, we strongly urge you to do so. However, the RAA Board has indicated on its website that alumni will be able to participate remotely. Whether you will be attending in-person or participating remotely, please be sure to register via the link below as soon as possible. Registration closes tomorrow, Monday, March 18, 2019.
Additionally, alumni will be holding an informal meeting prior to the Special Meeting; all RPI alumni are welcome to attend. This informal gathering will take place on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 10:30am in the downstairs lobby outside of the sports bar at the Hilton Garden Inn, 235 Hoosick Street, Troy, NY 12180. The meeting will last no longer than one hour in order to allow everyone ample time to get to the Special Meeting.
If you would like to contact the RAA Board directly with questions, concerns, or to provide feedback, you may find contact information available here. Furthermore, if you are reading this email after registration has already closed, feel free to contact the RAA directly to notify them of your intention to attend the meeting—whether in person or remotely.
As always, please reach out to us with any questions, comments, or concerns at email@example.com. Thank you for your continued support as we fight not only for RPI’s future, but for all alumni voices to be heard. We look forward to seeing many of you this coming weekend!
